Responding Instead of Reacting
Up until now, you’ve been building awareness. Today, we begin shifting behavior. Anxiety is fast. It reacts before you’ve had a chance to think. It jumps to conclusions, fills in worst-case scenarios, and urges you to act immediately. But reacting and responding are not the same thing.
Day 4 is about building the space between the trigger and your action.
Inside today’s material, you’ll learn:
- How to distinguish worry from real problem-solving
- Practical steps for responding instead of spiraling
This is where you start taking back your role in the story.
Watch the video first, then work through the workbook.
As you go through today’s exercises, notice one thought that feels especially convincing. Instead of arguing with it or trying to suppress it, gently examine it. Ask for evidence. Get curious. You don’t have to win an argument with your mind. You just have to slow it down.
This remains a psychoeducational program and is not therapy or medical care. If you are experiencing thoughts of harming yourself or others, please seek immediate support. In the U.S., call or text 988.
You’re building something important now — not just insight, but skill.
And skill changes outcomes.
